Lent 2025
Dear Friends of St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy,
We hope this letter finds you healthy and looking forward to the Easter Season. This is the season when we renew our vows as Associate Missionaries. It’s also the time for others to join us as Associate Missionaries for the very first time!
To become an Associate Missionary, it is essential that an individual make an honest and sincere effort each day to fulfill the commitments of the Associate Missionaries of the Divine Mercy.
Commitments:
 The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy is required to be said every day.
 It is encouraged that you say a daily Rosary.
 Every day complete one of the Corporal Works of Mercy. The Corporal Works of Mercy are found in the teachings of Jesus and give us a model for how we should treat all others, as if they were Christ in disguise. They "are charitable actions by which we help our neighbors in their bodily needs" (USCCA). They respond to the basic needs of humanity as we journey together through this life. An Act of Mercy can be feeding the hungry, clothing the naked or even saying a prayer for someone.
 We also have some recommendations for our Associates and for everyone.
    o Read the Diary of St. Faustina and the Bible. There are great podcasts, and You               Tube videos that you may want to consider. We also encourage you to check out               www.thedivinemercy.org/mmwj to learn more about St. Faustina’s message and                 devotion to the Divine Mercy.
    o We suggest Bible in a Year Podcast, hosted by Fr. Mike Schmitz and featuring Jeff           Cavins, which guides Catholics through the Bible in 365 daily episodes. You can               start this at any time. We also encourage you to check out                                                 www.thedivinemercy.org/mmwj  to learn more about St. Faustina’s message and               devotion to the Divine Mercy

     Divine Mercy Chaplet followed by Mass at 3PM

Thank you for prayerfully considering becoming an Associate Missionary for the next year. You can advise us of your intention to commit by doing one of the following before Monday, April 21, 2025:
1) You can complete and submit the online commitment form that can be found on our website https://www.stlukesmissionofmercy.org under the “Get Involved” tab and “Become an Associate”.
2) You can send an email to us at www.stlukesmissionofmercy.org indicating that you commit to being an Associate Missionary for one year and that you promise to do your best at fulfilling the requirements of an Associate Missionary of the Divine Mercy. Please include all information requested in online form.
3) You can send the Associate Missionary Commitment Form to St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy by mail, PO Box 448, Buffalo, NY 14215
