St. Luke's Roman Catholic Parish was founded on October 18, 1908. This year on October 18, St. Luke's will be 100 years old. And even though the parish closed in 1994 and became St. Luke's Mission of Mercy, we still feel connected to all those who worshiped and prayed here, who lived and celebrated here. We are supported by the labors and love of all those who belonged to St. Luke's over the years. And we are proud and blessed to be part of the St. Luke's family. Bishop Kmiec will be with us on Saturday, October 18 to celebrate a Mass in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the St. Luke's community. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the big day.

And God, who never ceases to amaze us with His generosity and goodness, has brought about an amazing gift. Through the talents and kindness of Church Restoration and Painting specialist Henry Swiatek and his family, and through the generosity of many benefactors, St. Luke's Church is being completely painted and restored, and the results are nothing short of breathtaking. Work began about a year ago and has continued steadily. The church is about half way done and we hope to have it near completion by the anniversary. Only God, in His infinite goodness, could arrange things like this so perfectly.

We are including some photos of the newly restored Church Dome with the famous painting of God the Father by renowned muralist John De Rosen. These photos do not do justice to the work that is being done, but they do help to show the beauty of this incredible work of art. As time permits, we will definitely put up additional pages showing the work being done, but for now, please enjoy these photos: Church Restoration
